Flooring has changed since 2020
Alot of companies have struggled in 2024 to 2025 and i would like to let you know if you have a small budget buy atleast a 5mm 20mill wear material you can get this installed for around 5.99 a sg/ft. This will last in a house for a good 10 years but you get what you pay for, so if you have a high traffic area i would go with 5.2 mm and a 20mm wear. This is called luxury vinyl plank. They also have glue down planks more for basements and rentals. I have been in the flooring business for more than 45 years so i have seen my share of products. Now for carpet today is awesome its a solution dyed yarn that is stain proof, such brands like dreamweaver is my favorite and if you need something that you would like to wear longer I would choose Dixie Home which has a nylon blend.
